Editorial standards
The rules behind our reporting, aggregation, affiliate coverage, and corrections.
Source before speed
We prefer primary sources and direct operator reports. We distinguish an agency statement, an operator claim, a regional roundup, and our analysis. Headlines do not claim more than the evidence.
No invented precision
We do not turn “several fish” into a count, a port into a coordinate, or an old report into a current bite. We do not fill slow news days with fabricated events or forecasts.
Safety and rules
Official forecasts and controlling regulations outrank our summaries. We link them, date our work, and state the scope. We do not give individualized legal or safety advice.
Affiliate independence
We may earn commission from clearly labeled product links. Amazon is the seller. Editorial judgment comes first; price, rating, and availability claims require current support.
AI use
Automation can discover, classify, and summarize candidate material. Publication remains build-gated and source-bound. AI output is never accepted as a source.
